Kazakhstan to allocate $ 41 million of technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan

Kazakhstan will allocate $ 41 million of technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan to equip laboratories in the framework of the republic’s joining the EEU, the Ministry of Economy reported.
It is noted that yesterday, during the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Moscow was signed a protocol between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on amending the protocols on the procedure for providing assistance and monitoring its use and on technical assistance. The amendments will simplify the procedure for providing assistance.
Changes in the protocol on technical assistance increased the amount of technical assistance from $ 7.5 to $ 41 million.
The agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on the development of economic cooperation in the conditions of Eurasian integration was signed on December 26, 2016. Kazakhstan will finance part of the roadmap on the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the EEU. In particular, it’s about the arrangement and technical equipping of the objects of the customs infrastructure, modernization of testing laboratories and other activities. Assistance is provided in stages.
