Construction of Ala-Buka—Zhany-Bazar—Kirovka road, connecting Ala-Buka and Chatkal districts, has resumed after the winter break. The press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to the press service, 80 kilometers of the road had been paved by the beginning of 2025. With the onset of warm weather and the opening of the pass, preparatory work for construction and paving has begun on the remaining 20 kilometers of the road.
The road complies with technical category III, will be two-lane, and is designed for heavy vehicles with an axle load of up to 11.5 tons.
