The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has amended several resolutions governing the licensing of alcoholic products.
Under the new decree, provisions related to retail alcohol sales have been removed from the regulatory framework.
Specifically:
- The term «retail trade» has been removed from the rules on payment of fees for the production and circulation of ethyl alcohol and alcoholic beverages;
- Similar changes were made to the regulations on licensing certain types of activities;
- Several norms regulating retail trade have been declared invalid.
As a result, licensing regulation in the sector has been restructured, with the focus shifting to production and wholesale distribution, excluding the retail segment.
The decree aims to simplify and streamline the alcohol licensing system.
The document will enter into force in 10 days after its official publication.
