A suspect has been detained in Chui region on charges of fraud related to the sale of a residential house. The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the region reported.
According to the statement, on April 18, 2024, a resident A.R., 44, filed a complaint with the Internal Affairs Department of Sokuluk district. He stated that on September 10, 2022, a man identified as M.I., having gained his trust, fraudulently concluded a contract for the sale of a residential house located in Sokuluk village for a total amount of 1.7 million soms.
M.I. subsequently received an advance payment of 1.6 million soms from the complainant but failed to fulfill his obligations. The house was later sold to third parties, and the money was not returned. The suspect then ceased communication and avoided fulfilling the agreement.
On March 27, during search and investigative operations, police officers detained the suspect, M.I.,64. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, he has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The suspect’s possible involvement in other similar crimes is being checked. The investigation is ongoing.
