38 teenagers detained in Bishkek during nighttime raids

Police detained 38 teenagers during nighttime raids in Bishkek’s Sverdlovsky district aimed at preventing juvenile delinquency, the municipal administration reported.

The inspections were carried out from March 23 to 25 in cooperation with juvenile affairs inspectors, district police, and other services as part of the 2026 action plan.

Authorities checked leisure venues, including anti-cinemas, billiard halls, and internet clubs, with a particular focus on minors being outside without adult supervision late at night.

In total, 38 teenagers were found outside their homes after 10 p.m. Of them, 32 were handed over to their parents under written assurances, while six were taken to the juvenile delinquency prevention center under the Interior Ministry.

The City Hall noted that such raids are conducted on a regular basis.
