Batken region of Kyrgyzstan and Fergana region of Uzbekistan signed a cooperation agreement. The office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the region reported.
The document covers a wide range of areas, including trade and economic, scientific and technical, social, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.
The agreements between the regions plan to develop and strengthen partnerships, create favorable conditions for business, expand cooperation in agriculture, exchange experiences, and implement joint investment projects. Cooperation in education and tourism is also envisaged.
The agreement will be implemented within the framework of bilateral agreements and a roadmap previously signed by the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
