Aigul Ryskulova appointed head of Labor Migration Department of EEC

Aigul Ryskulova has been appointed head of the Department of Labor Migration and Social Protection of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The EEC reported.

Aigul Ryskulova was born in Frunze (now Bishkek) in 1964. She is married and has a son.

In 1983, she graduated from the Law Faculty of the Kyrgyz State University. In 1993, she graduated from the Academy of Labor and Social Relations in Moscow with a degree in labor economics.

Her career has spanned the judicial system, ministries, and international organizations:

She worked in social protection agencies, served as Minister of Labor and Social Development, and also served as Chair of the State Committee on Migration and Employment.

From 2014 to 2018, she served as Bishkek’s Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs. From 2020 to 2024, she served as Kyrgyzstan’s Plenipotentiary Representative to the Economic Affairs Commission of the CIS Economic Council.

Aigul Ryskulova has received state awards for her contribution to the country’s development, including the Dank Medal and the title of «Honored Civil Service Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic.» She is often cited as one of the women who stood at the forefront of independent Kyrgyzstan.
