Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to resume regular flights

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to resume regular flights. The parties announced it during a meeting of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda. The talks were held as part of the working visit of the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic to Tajikistan. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

At the beginning of the meeting, Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized that the development of good-neighborly relations with the countries of Central Asia, including Tajikistan, is a priority of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy. He also conveyed greetings from President Sadyr Japarov to the leader of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The Kyrgyz side confirmed readiness to become a link for the supply of Tajik products to the EAEU market and expressed interest in studying Tajikistan’s experience in processing agricultural products. Considerable attention was paid to energy cooperation and the importance of implementation of CASA-1000 project.

The heads of government noted successful interaction within the framework of international initiatives, including support for candidates for non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council and the Kyrgyz Republic’s initiative for the International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development.

Kohir Rasulzoda emphasized the significant potential for bringing Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan cooperation to a new level and a fruitful exchange of views in a narrow format.

Following the meetings, the parties expressed confidence in further strengthening mutually beneficial partnership and expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in all areas of mutual interest.
