An avalanche has descended today, March 3, on Karakol — Enilchek road (Chon-Ashuu pass) in Issyk-Kul region. Traffic has been temporarily suspended, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan reports.
According to the ministry, the avalanche was registered on the 82nd kilometer of the road.
Currently, specialists from the road maintenance enterprise No. 11 are carrying out cleanup work. There are no casualties.
According to the Ministry of Transport, a severe snowstorm is observed on Chon-Ashuu pass, which complicates the traffic situation.
Drivers traveling through mountainous areas are asked to be extremely careful and strictly observe the traffic rules.
