Kyrgyz director Shamil Dyikanbaev recognized as best at festival in Shymkent

Stage director from Kyrgyzstan Shamil Dyikanbaev was recognized as the best at the IX International Festival of Central Asian Theatres, which ended in Shymkent. The Chui Regional Theater reported.

Competitive performances of the best theaters of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Karakalpakstan and Tatarstan were shown at the festival.

Kyrgyzstan was represented by the play «Face to Face», staged by Shamil Dyikanbaev on the stage of the Republican Theater Uchur (Time).

Following the results of the competition, the Kyrgyz stage director was recognized as the best.

Shamil Dyikanbaev has been the director of the Chui Regional Theater since last year.
