Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan agreed to jointly train seismologists. The President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan Kobiljon Khushvakhtzoda and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Dushanbe Erlan Abdyldaev discussed the topic. The National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan reported.
The parties also discussed the expansion of partnership in research activities and exchanged views on scientific cooperation.
Kobiljon Khushvakhtzoda told about promising areas for the development of research activities of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. According to him, there is a shortage of seismology specialists in research institutions. He proposed sending master’s and doctoral students to research institutions of Kyrgyzstan to gain experience in seismology so that they become highly qualified specialists.
Erlan Abdyldaev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic is ready to cooperate with research institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
