The ballet performance «Adam» will be staged on November 13-14 at the State Academic Musical Theater of Azerbaijan.
The artists’ performance is organized within the framework of the UN Climate Conference, which is taking place in Baku from November 11 to November 22. The performance will immerse the audience in an alternative world, where the laws of nature clash with the laws of humanity.
Artists of the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater named after Maldybaev reflect on the environmental and other challenges that humanity will have to overcome in the 21st century.
They mention the well-known saying: «We did not inherit the Earth from our ancestors. We rented it from our descendants.» This phrase makes us think about our attitude to the environment, the consequences of our choices and what kind of world the next generations will live in.
The ballet eco-production will be presented with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. The performance will serve as a vivid example of using art to promote environmental protection.
