National Bank of Kyrgyzstan warns about spread of fake notifications

Fake notifications on behalf of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic are being sent out on social media. Fraudsters send fake messages to citizens demanding to pay bank fees, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The National Bank officially states that it does not call the population and does not send notifications asking for any payments. It is important to remember that the bank does not directly serve individuals, does not open accounts for them, and does not conduct cash settlements with citizens.

If you receive such notifications, the National Bank strongly recommends not to transfer money to unknown persons. If you realize that you have become a victim of fraudsters, you must immediately report this to your bank to block your account or card and urgently contact law enforcement agencies.
