MES employees continue to clean bottom of Issyk-Kul lake

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and divers continue to clean the bottom of Issyk-Kul lake from garbage, the press service of the ministry reported.

At least 13,550 kilograms of garbage and 32,700 meters of fishing nets have been removed from the bottom of Issyk-Kul since the beginning of 2024. The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ divers note an increase in the amount of garbage compared to the same period last year. They attribute this to the large number of tourists and poor cleanliness.

Despite this, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, together with divers, continue to clean the lake from garbage and fishing nets and urge citizens to take care of nature and the pearl of the country.
