Japan will help Kyrgyzstan with construction of two small hydropower plants on Chon-Kemin river. It was announced during a meeting of the Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev with the President of Muroosystems CorporationPan Zhongxin.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the parties signed an investment agreement on the implementation of the project for construction of two small hydropower plants on Chon-Kemin river with a total capacity of 24-25 megawatts.
A Memorandum was also signed on the implementation of an investment project to build a photovoltaic solar power plant with a capacity of up to 100 megawatts in Batken region. The investor will build the solar power plant using its own funds or credit financing.
The Japanese company promised to invest up to $100 million in projects on construction of small hydropower plants and a solar power plant.
