Kyrgyzstan will take part in the All-Russian Cinema Night campaign. TASS reported, citing the press service of the Russian Ministry of Culture.
The Cinema Night campaign will take place on August 24. At least 14 BRICS and CIS countries will join it. The event is traditionally timed to coincide with the Russian Cinema Day, which is celebrated on August 27.
«We have been holding this campaign for nine years in a row, gathering all of Russia in front of the screens — from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. During this time, Cinema Night has become a real family holiday,» the press service of the ministry quoted Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova as saying.
The films will be screened in embassies, cultural centers and other venues of Russian foreign missions in China, India, Brazil, Ethiopia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and other countries. It is planned that the film screenings will be organized at more than 5,000 sites in Russia and abroad.
- Every year, three of the brightest new releases of Russian cinema are selected for the Cinema Night. This year’s program includes the fantasy blockbuster «One Hundred Years Ahead», the fairy tale " At the Pike’s Behest" and the military-historical drama «Air».
- Admission to all screenings as part of the Cinema Night is free.
