In the 1/8 finals, the Kyrgyzstani defeated Meirambek Kartbay from Kazakhstan, but in the 1/4 finals, he lost to Spencer Richard Lee from the USA. The American reached the final, and Bekzat Almaz uulu got a chance to fight for bronze.
