Recall, in the weight category up to 97 kilograms, Uzur Dzhuzupbekov lost to the Iranian wrestler in the 1/4 finals. Mohammad Hadi Saravi reached the final, and the Kyrgyzstani got a chance to win a medal.
In the first round of the consolation tournament for bronze, Uzur Dzhuzupbekov defeated Joseph Patrick Rau from the United States (9:4).
Earlier, Zholaman Sharshenbekov and Akzhol Makhmudov won bronze medals, and Meerim Zhumanazarova won silver.
