A 22-year-old woman who gave birth to twins died in Bishkek maternity hospital No. 2 Raisa Asylbasheva, Chief Specialist of the Department of Medical Care and Drug Policy of the Ministry of Health, confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
According to her, the death was registered early in the morning of January 15.
«The resident of the capital had her first pregnancy and had an emergency birth by caesarean section. emergency delivery by caesarean section. The early postoperative period proceeded without peculiarities, but on the third or fourth day this suddenly happened. Diagnosis on admission: «severe preeclampsia.» The children suffered in the womb; in the interests of the fetus, caesarean section was performed at 34 weeks. The children are premature and are under the supervision of doctors,» Raisa Asylbasheva said.
She noted that the woman was registered and her state was regularly monitored. Experts are awaiting autopsy results.
