Ammunition confiscated from local resident in Issyk-Kul region

Unregistered weapons were found in the possession of a resident of Ak-Suu district in Issyk-Kul region. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The police received information that a man was illegally storing firearms and ammunition at home.

A criminal case has been initiated.

«During the execution of an investigative order, an authorized search was carried out at the place of residence of 47-year-old resident of Ichke-Zhergez village. Police officers discovered and seized two TOZ-8, 10 rounds of 7.62 and 5.45 mm caliber, a bayonet, a training grenade and a bag of wild hemp. According to preliminary data, the weight was 1,250 grams,» the statement says.

Forensic examinations have been ordered. An investigation is underway.
