The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), together with employees of the Department of the State Tax Service for Regulation and Control over the Alcohol Market, stopped the production and sale of counterfeit alcohol products. The SCNS press center reported.
As part of a criminal case initiated into the illegal production, storage and sale of alcoholic beverages on an industrial scale in Chui region and Bishkek, a large batch of finished alcoholic products with dubious excise stamps was discovered and seized, including:
- Alcoholic products — 12,159 units;
- Dubious excise stamps — 4,676 pieces;
- Alcohol — 474.5 liters;
- Labels — more than 7,000 pieces;
- Moonshine — 889 liters;
- Device for production of alcoholic beverages — 3 units.
Relevant investigative and operational measures are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the case.
