The President of the Kyrgyz Republic is paying a working visit to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) on November 8-9 to participate in the next summit of Heads of State — members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
The leaders of the countries will discuss current issues on the organization’s agenda, including the consistent and phased integration of the states of the region into the global system of economic relations by establishing mutually beneficial intra-regional economic cooperation and mutual assistance in various aspects of socio-cultural, scientific and technical development, the press service of the head of state reported.
The summit will be attended by the presidents of the ECO member countries — the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the heads of government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
As part of the event, an international forum dedicated to the World Children’s Day will be held on the topic «Children and youth in action — climate change in Central Asia,» in which the First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic Aigul Japarova will take part.
