The United World Wrestling (UWW) published the world ranking of wrestlers. It is based on the results of the Asian Games in China.
Athletes from Kyrgyzstan became leaders of the ranking in three weight categories out of 30 in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling among men and women.
Zholaman Sharshenbekov, Akzhol Makhmudov and Aisuluu Tynybekova took first places after winning the World Championships in Serbia. And they still hold their positions.
After winning the Asian Games in China, Aiperi Medet kyzy became second in the world ranking.
As for the freestyle wrestling, Ernazar Akmataliev dropped to the fifth place in his weight category, and Taiyrbek Zhumashbek uulu rose to the third place, Almaz Smanbekov takes the 13th place.
At the end of the year, athletes ranked in the top 3 of the world ranking will receive cash prizes from the UWW.
