Kyrgyzstan set its new record in terms of gold medals at the Asian Games in China. The team has four of them.
The gold medalists are Akzhol Makhmudov, Zholaman Sharshenbekov, Aiperi Medet kyzy and judoka Erlan Sherov.
The Asian Games continue; Kyrgyzstan’s freestyle wrestlers are competing today.
The previous record was set at the 2018 Asian Games — then Torokhan Bagynbai uulu (jiu-jitsu), Darya Maslova (athletics) and Aisulu Tynybekova (wrestling) won gold medals.
