An athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Kymbat Toytonova, won a bronze medal at the Asian Games in China. The Games’ website reports.
In the weight category up to 61 kilograms, Kymbat Toytonova defeated an athlete from Cambodia — 4:0.
The Kyrgyzstani also defeated representatives of Korea and Bangladesh and lost to an athlete from China.
Another karateka from Kyrgyzstan Adilet Shadykanov will compete for the gold medal today.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstani Nazim Nurlanov won a bronze medal at karate tournament within the Asian Games.
The Kyrgyz team has nine medals — three gold and six bronze.
