Legendary ballerina from Italy Liliana Cosi will visit Bishkek on September 22-23. The Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abdylas Maldybaev reported.
One of the organizers of the visit is the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Italy Taalai Bazarbaev — son of the outstanding ballet dancer Cholponbek Bazarbaev. In 1977, being a participant of performances of the masters of Soviet art in Italy, Cholponbek Bazarbaev made a brilliant duet with Liliana Cosi in «Swan Lake».
Liliana Cosi was a prima ballerina at the famous La Scala Theater. Now she is the founder and artistic director of the Italian Dance Academy of Classical Ballet Cosi — Stefanescu.
Liliana Cosi will hold a master class for the ballet company of the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, following which she will select two ballerinas and two dancers for free training at the ballet academy in Italy.
