Assessment of the size of the Kyrgyz population of the snow leopard is being carried out in Western Tien-Shan. Press service of Snow Leopard Foundation in Kyrgyzstan reported.
The assessment is being conducted by a consortium of Snow Leopard Foundation in Kyrgyzstan and Ilbirs Foundation at the request of UNDP.
The data obtained will allow reaching the final part of PASK (Population assessment of snow leopards in Kyrgyzstan) program, which is part of the PAWS (population assessment of world snow leopards).
