Former president of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev will give lectures to staff and students of the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University (RSVPU) in Yekaterinburg. Media report.
During the visit, it is also planned to get acquainted with the innovative equipment of Technopark of universal pedagogical competencies. The university has updated training and educational sets in genetics, physics, analytical chemistry, alternative energy, robotics.
During the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, the university management decided to open a special lecture hall in honor of the founder of pedagogy and psychologist Konstantin Ushinsky. Rector of RSVPU Valery Dubitsky and an Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of the Faculty of Global Processes of the Moscow State University named after Mikhail Lomonosov, Askar Akayev, will take part in the solemn ceremony. At the end of the event, the foreign guest will be awarded a mantle and a diploma of an honorary professor.
Askar Akayev will communicate with the student body of the university and foreign students.
Askar and Mairam Akayev arrived in Kyrgyzstan in May 2023. It became known that the first ousted president was going to give a lecture at one of the universities in Bishkek. However, some students objected it. They were supported by deputies of the Parliament. As a result, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic canceled Akayev’s lectures at universities.
