At least 104 million soms were appropriated during the construction of Bishkek — Kara-Balta highway. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan reported.
In the course of checking the scope of work performed and pavement samples under the project «Reconstruction of Bishkek — Kara-Balta highway», implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, a shortage of 450 metal poles with lamps for street lighting, 36 parapets, two bus stops, steel gratings, asphalt concrete type A and other property was revealed, as well as a low density of asphalt pavement.
The state suffered damage in the amount of 104,081,600 soms.
The Prosecutor General’s Office initiated a criminal case under Articles 337 (abuse of official position) and 245 (abuse of authority by employees of commercial or other organizations) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, an investigation is underway.
