A textile enterprise will be built in Nooken district of Jalal-Abad region. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.
It is noted that the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund will allocate $16 million for the construction of the facility. An agreement on cooperation in the creation of textile production was reached by the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in early 2023.
The new enterprise in the south of Kyrgyzstan will correspond to the level of the Uzbek company Fazman Textile. This factory was opened at the end of 2022. It can produce up to 1 million units of finished products per year — men’s, women’s and children’s suits. Export volume is estimated at $15 million annually.
