President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Acting Minister of Education and Science Kanybek Imanaliev. Press service of the head of state reported.
The President set a number of specific tasks to improve the sphere of science and education, and discussed priority plans and tasks on this issue. Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the sphere of education and science is a strategically important and very responsible area that determines the future of the state.
He recalled that at the beginning of 2022, special attention was paid to the issue of financing education and science, in particular, the budget of the Ministry of Education and Science was increased from 29 to 49 billion soms. At the same time, it is important to understand that the problems will not be solved with the help of the allocated funds, a comprehensive approach is needed.
The President paid special attention to the issue of professional training of teachers, since the upbringing and education of students depends on their qualification. In addition, the head of state noted the importance of following modern trends in the age of information technology — the approach of teachers to classes should be in line with the realities of the time. The education system needs reform.
Sadyr Japarov also touched upon issues in the field of science, emphasizing the need to establish close contact between the ministry and the National Academy of Sciences.
In turn, the Acting Minister Kanybek Imanaliev informed the President about the immediate plans and prospects for the development of the education sector. He said that he would present a concept aimed at improving the quality of educational processes in the near future.
