Seven modern hospitals to be built in regions of Kyrgyzstan

Seven modern hospitals will be built in the regions of the republic this year. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov announced during inspection of the construction of a perinatal center in Bishkek.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the construction of the medical institution is being carried out at the expense of grant funds from the German Development Bank (KfW). The Republican Perinatal Center will have modern medical equipment. It will perform complex operations caused by various pathologies and complications. The center will be designed for 203 beds. It is expected to put it into operation in the second half of the year.

To improve the quality of medical care for women with pathology of pregnancy and nursing of newborns with pathology, similar perinatal centers will be built in Osh and Talas regions.

Akylbek Japarov stressed the importance of construction of perinatal centers, children’s hospitals, maternity hospitals, improving the quality of medical services in them, as well as improving the general and technical condition of healthcare institutions.

In addition, he instructed the Ministry of Health to complete the reconstruction of the Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 6 at the National Center for Maternal and Child Welfare, to train medical workers in the use of modern equipment installed in the perinatal center, which will improve the results of nursing pregnant women and newborns with various pathologies.

Further, the head of the Cabinet visited the new Bishkek TB hospital, which was also built at the expense of KfW grant funds. It is designed for 128 beds. Medical equipment is being installed at the institution, and its opening is scheduled for February.
