Kyrgyzstan stands for peaceful resolution of Armenia - Azerbaijan conflict

Kyrgyzstan stands for settlement of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan exclusively by peaceful means. Press service of the Presidential Executive Office reported.

According to it, Sadyr Japarov took part in an extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the format of a videoconference.

The extraordinary session was initiated by Armenia, which chairs the organization this year.

Speaking at the online meeting, Sadyr Japarov once again noted that Kyrgyzstan consistently stands for settlement of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan exclusively by peaceful means, through negotiations to develop constructive proposals and find ways to resolve emerging issues.

The President added that Kyrgyzstan welcomes the ongoing settlement process between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the basic principles and norms of international law, as well as the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991, and expresses hope for soonest stabilization of the situation based on mutual respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized boundaries of each other.
