It is planned to create a postal and logistics park in Kyrgyzstan that will provide access to international markets. The General Director of Kyrgyz Pochtasy OJSC, Marat Cherikchiev, said at E-Commerce EXPO 2022 forum.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan can become a trade and logistics transit hub. After all, the republic is favorably located along the key transport corridors. The Kyrgyz Republic can use the transit opportunity for electronic commerce.
«We are planning to open a postal and logistics park. There will be, for example, a bonded area and a multimodal GSP and CCIC. Kyrgyzstan has the opportunity to use the transit potential, since the joint market is more than 3.2 billion people,» Marat Cherikchiev said.
At the same time, he admitted that Kyrgyzstan now has logistical problems. For example, goods from China fly through other countries. Therefore, delivery takes 80 days.
«We want the goods to come directly to Central Asia with a center in Bishkek, processed here and move further. We want to make logistics costs from China lower, and then work with European marketplaces. This way, our citizens will have access to European goods,» the head of Kyrgyz Pochtasy said.
