He expressed readiness to support climbers, wished them good health, success and new achievements.

The delegates, in turn, told that only about 60 out of 404 climbers from 80 countries, who intended to conquer Manaslu peak in the Himalayas, reached the top.

«There are six Kyrgyzstanis — members of the Kyrgyz mountaineering team among them, three of whom reached the summit without oxygen support, which is a high achievement. The climbers noted that the decision to conquer the peak of Manaslu was made in connection with the symbolism of its name and the similarity with the epic Manas. According to them, this ascent is dedicated to Kyrgyzstan, Batken and the Manas epic,» the Presidential Executive Office noted.

At the end of the meeting, the climbers presented Sadyr Japarov with the flag of Kyrgyzstan raised to Manaslu peak. The team will hand over one more flag to the most remote border outpost in Batken region.

The expedition members also planned to carry a three-kilogram volume of the Manas epic and the flag of Kyrgyzstan to the summit.
