The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan plans to issue 100,000 soms to 10,000 low-income families in 2023 to start a business.
The ministry is actively promoting new methods of combating poverty.
«At the beginning of the year, we piloted the Social Contract project, under which 100 low-income families in Dzhumgal and Kadamdzhai districts received 100,000 soms to start their own business. All participants achieved success. Based on this experience, the project covered 2,800 families throughout the country, who previously received ui-bulogo komok allowance. Almost 300 million soms have been allocated from the budget,» the Deputy Minister Nurdoolot Bazarbaev said.
