Tactical and special exercises of the special forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will begin on the territory of Kyrgyzstan on August 2, 2022. CSTO website reports.
During the maneuvers, consolidated groups of the special forces of the CSTO member states will perform training and applied operational and combat missions to search for, block and neutralize gangs, terrorist groups, as well as block drug smuggling channels and detect caches, laboratories for the storage and production of narcotic substances, as well as their destruction.
Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will work out the tasks of eliminating the consequences that arose during the anti-terrorist operation. The exercise plan includes holding of command and staff training with the operational headquarters of the special forces formations of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO on the issues of planning a special operation, organizing interaction and managing all-arms forces and means.
At the end of the Cobalt 2022 exercises, shooting competitions from various types of weapons will be organized among the teams participating in the exercises.
