President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the President of the United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovic and the President of the United World Wrestling’s Asian Council Daulet Turlykhanov. Press service of the head of state reported.
The meeting took place within the framework of the Asian Championship in Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling that started in Bishkek.
«We are making a lot of efforts at the state level in terms of development of this sport in our country and improving the relevant infrastructure. In order to create conditions for women-wrestlers, a sports hall is being built in Bishkek,» he said at the meeting.
«We will continue our work and fruitful cooperation with your wrestling federation, which has extensive experience in developing and popularizing our martial arts. I want to note the great success, the breakthrough of the Kyrgyz wrestlers in the international arena. Undoubtedly, there is a lot of work behind this success,» Nenad Lalovic stressed.
Sadyr Japarov awarded Nenad Lalovic with the Honorary Diploma of the Kyrgyz Republic. In response, the head of state was awarded the highest award of the United World Wrestling.
