According to preliminary research results, rabies is suspected in a dog that bit 19 people in Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. The Kara-Suu Department of the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety informed 24.kg news agency.
The final results will be known in 30 days.
«Examination of the dog’s brain was carried out, in which inclusion cells were found. This allow to make a preliminary conclusion about the presence of the rabies virus,» the specialists explained and added that all preventive measures are taken, in particular forced vaccination of livestock in Kara-Suu district.
