The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev.
Participants of the meeting discussed cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and TURKSOY in deepening the cultural exchange between the countries of the Turkic world.
«It is gratifying to note that the representative of the Kyrgyz Republic is the Secretary General of TURKSOY for the first time. It is expected that in 2023, the next Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States will be a representative of the Kyrgyz Republic. Therefore, I think that the coming years will be very important for Kyrgyzstan in the Turkic world,» the head of state said.
He assured that Kyrgyzstan supports the activities of TURKSOY, appreciates its contribution to strengthening brotherhood and friendship, as well as the development of cultural and humanitarian ties between the Turkic peoples.
«TURKSOY has become a spiritual bridge connecting Turkic-speaking countries, has done enormous work and has become a major international organization with great authority on the world stage,» Sadyr Japarov noted.
Sultan Raev informed the President about the further plans to step up the work of the organization and to promote the culture of the Turkic peoples, including Kyrgyz culture, Kyrgyz folklore and the epic Manas. «Our main goal is to contribute to the integration of Turkic peoples and unite them through culture,» he stressed.
Participants of the meeting also discussed the preparation for Kyrgyzstan’s participation in the 4th World Nomad Games.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the Kyrgyz Republic was ready to host the 5th World Nomad Games.
