A WHO mission has arrived in Kyrgyzstan to explore the health care system. Press center of the Ministry of Health reported.
During the visit, Natasha Azzopardi-Muscat, the Director of the Division of Country Health Policies and Systems at WHO Regional Office for Europe, met with the Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev.
The parties exchanged views on the development of the health sector of the republic, and outlined priority areas for cooperation aimed at improving the health of the population. The minister expressed his hope for further assistance of the WHO in improving the mechanisms of planning and financing of health services based on the needs of the population taking into account the international experience.
Natasha Azzopardi Muscat assured that WHO would always remain a reliable partner in the sphere of health care. She also held a series of meetings with the country’s development partners and discussed joint work on prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases, strengthening of human and scientific potential in the field of healthcare.
