Kuwait is interested in import of meat, fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan. The Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kuwait Azamat Karagulov met with the Assistant Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the foreign state Emad Al-Zaid.
The Ambassador told about the completion of certification of food products from the Kyrgyz Republic in Kuwait, successful experience in the supply of lamb, trout and honey, and in general about the wide opportunities for the private sector of the two countries in connection with the opening of direct flights from Kuwait to Bishkek and Osh.
The Assistant Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Emad Al-Zaid told about the tasks of Kuwait to ensure food security and diversify food supplies. He also said that the country was interested in import of meat, seasonal fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan. Emad Al-Zaid expressed interest in the products of the Kyrgyz garment industry, especially in products made from natural wool, leather, cotton and silk.
The parties also discussed the terms of visit of the delegation of the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Bishkek and the meeting between business circles specializing in the supply of food products.
