The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan submitted a draft resolution for public discussion as part of the current inventory of the legislation.
It says that gaps and conflicts have been found in the documents regulating the craft industry.
Thus, the law on the revival, development and preservation of folk arts and crafts was declared invalid. Separate paragraphs will be included in the new document on handicraft activities in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Another authorized state body will appear in the Kyrgyz Republic. Its representatives will oversee the handicraft sector.
The authors also cite repeated appeals of the craftsmen themselves, who stated that they definitely need state support, because they do not have a lot of capital to stay afloat, as well as own premises and equipment. But the assistance must be comprehensive.
