The former acting mayor of Bishkek Ermek Nurgaziev was placed in the pretrial detention center 1. The Main Internal Affairs Department of Chui region reported.
The decision was made by the Alamedinsky District Court. Ermek Nurgaziev was taken into custody until the end of the investigation.
Earlier, Ermek Nurgaziev’s legal representative Fedor Shchukin reported that the former acting city mayor was summoned for interrogation and then taken to the Main Internal Affairs Department of Chui region within a criminal case related to Alliance Kurulush company and its head Maxim Alyanov.
According to him, the case concerns a land plot in Bishkek’s 8th micro-district. Ermek Nurgaziev’s wife Aidana Marasulova was previously registered as the owner of the plot.
Ermek Nurgaziev ran for Parliament from Kyrgyzstan Party in the scandalous 2020 parliamentary elections.
