«In the light of Russia’s new ‘fake news’ law, we have no choice but to suspend live streaming and new content for our video service while we consider the implications of this law for our security. In doing so, the in-app messaging service will not be affected,» Twitter post says.
«TikTok is a platform for creativity and entertainment that can be a source of relief and human connection during a time of war when people face great tragedy and isolation. However, the safety of our employees and users remains our top priority,» the company said.
