President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov himself is also ready to testify if necessary. The head of state stated this in an interview with Vecherny Bishkek, commenting on the criminal cases initiated against opposition politicians.
He assured that he did not interfere in the investigation of these cases.
«I cannot order to release or detain any oppositionist. The system is working. Each body does its job. If a crime is found, an investigation will begin. Otherwise, they will answer. The system and laws are as such now — investigators are not afraid, as before, to invite deputies and ministers for interrogation. If necessary, both the judge and the president will be invited. We must abandon the concept of immunity. Otherwise, we will not get rid of corruption and the sale of land, and we will lose our state in the end,» Sadyr Japarov said.
