A new fire station will be built in Bishkek. Press service of the capital’s City Hall reported.
The day before, a capsule was laid at the construction site of the building of the fire and rescue unit. The event was attended by the Ambassador of Korea Lee Won-jae, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic Louise Chamberlain and the First Vice Mayor of the capital Maksatbek Sazykulov.
«This project is a part of the Concept for the comprehensive protection of the population and territories of the Kyrgyz Republic from emergencies and fire for 2018 — 2030,» the mayor said.
More than 800 fires occur on the territory of Bishkek every year, they cause damage of more than 100 million soms.
The building will be T-shaped, consisting of two blocks. The preliminary date of completion of construction is March 2023.
