People vaccinated with Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus infection will be able to visit Saudi Arabia from January 1, 2022. Press service of the Russian Direct Investment Fund reported.
Saudi Arabia approved entry of those vaccinated with Sputnik V vaccine from January 1, 2022. The decision was made based on the results of the joint work of the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
«Saudi Arabia is among 102 countries that people vaccinated with Sputnik V can visit. This decision was a result of an active work of RDIF with the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Investment of the Kingdom,» the Fund said.
This decision will enable believers vaccinated with the Russian vaccine to make a pilgrimage to the shrines of Islam in the cities of Mecca and Medina. After entering the Kingdom, the tourists will need to self-isolate for two days, as well as undergo PCR testing.
The citizens of the Russian Federation vaccinated with this vaccine will be able to make the pilgrimage.
Sputnik V and Sputnik Light vaccines are currently available in Kyrgyzstan.
