Protesting representatives of parties meet with head of CEC

Representatives of the parties that have not overcome the 5 percent threshold and held a rally at the building of the Central Election Commission (CEC) in Bishkek meet with the head of the CEC Nurzhan Shaildabekova.

Representatives of Uluttar Birimdigi, the Green Party of Kyrgyzstan, Ata Meken, Azattyk and others took part in the rally.

They demand annulment of the voting results and invalidation of the elections.

The CEC said it would hold an open meeting with dissatisfied candidates and parties.

The CEC Chairwoman Nurzhan Shaildabekova said that the manual counting of votes was over. The results of the voting are being summed up and will be announced in the near future.

Elections of deputies of the seventh convocation of the Parliament have been held in Kyrgyzstan. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, six parties get into the Parliament. Winners in single-seat constituencies were also announced. The votes are being counted manually.
