There is an increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and pneumonia in children in Bishkek. Press service of the City Hall of the capital reported.
Due to the increase in the number of patients, all Family Medicine Centers are open on Saturdays from 8.00 to 18.00 and on Sundays from 8.00 to 14.00 since October 23.
On average, 200-500 children turned to the Family Medicine Centers (FMC) per day.
Despite the organized duty at the FMC, a decrease in the number of visits to the FMC and an increase in the number of visits to hospitals were registered on weekends.
Over the weekend, 1,370 children turned to the City Children’s Emergency Hospital, 102 children (19 percent) were hospitalized: 39 children with ARVI, 39 with pneumonia, 4 with mixed infection.
There is still a rise in the number of hospital visits.
The City Hall reminded that it is necessary to consult a family doctor timely and not self-medicate.
